Okay, so Friday took forever to go by. You'd think I was eager for the day to be over so I could go on a hot date. Not the story here, I was eager for the day to end because I was tired and wanted to be home. I know, I am such a bore; but hey my cats like me and well that's all that really matters. Louie turned one year old on the 12th. (Anyone outhere that knows me and the saga of Louie the Cat know that he has had a hard first year) I think that he is officially an adult cat. That sucks because I really wish he was still tiny. He is ginormous. I wonder if they make miniature cats. I mean there are miniature pinchers and poodles. Why not miniature cats that don't get bigger than the size they are at 4 months. I know... RANDOM, TABLE FOR ONE! Seriously though, anyone out there know about the mini-kitties?
While at the store on Friday Tam and thought and rethought the "Easter" display. On account that we kind of forgot about the bunnies. We got so excited about " Tattered and Tangled a Garden Party. The name of our next show. My brain was jello and I had nothing to offer except wise-ass remarks. Go figure. Instead I kept myself busy sorting and hanging our new merchandise. We received new paper and as you know I am self-confessed "Paper-Freak". The paper looks like it was painted with watercolors then sewn to add a little jazz. We also received about 6 different paper from "Sassafras" with the most adorable scalloped edges.

Reminder: If you have any artwork at the store for the Heartbreak show, it is ready to be picked up. Please stop by as soon as you can so it doesn't get hurt while we set up Easter.

We are finalizing the details but if you want a little more information go to www. zinnia.biz then click on "Call to Artisit".

Let me know about the minature cat thing. Have a great week.

3/13 Triptych book class with Kelly

This Friday from 11 to 3

Triptych book This class was a HUGE success at Artfest 2001 and across the U.S. It's one of my favorite book forms. I'm bringing it back and revising it-updating it! A very unique book that lends itself to a variety of different styles. Please bring favorite scraps of ephemera (old letters, journal pages, collaged tags, etc…) You will construct a three panel book from scratch that can be used as a journal, story album, photo album, memoribilia book and more! Learn unusual ways of incorporating favorite imagery and collage ephemera into the design of the book. Walk away with your own personal journal with your head spinning with ideas!

Supply List: Scissors, small selection of favorite collage ephemera, bone folder, cork back metal ruler, roll of waxed paper, roll of paper towels, container to hold water, 3 1" brushes to glue and paint (I like chip or bristle brushes), permanent black inkpad
